That's very common! Jaclyn starts any branding and web project with an introductory call and questionnaire to help clearly define your brand goals and vision. We will discuss these findings and your budget to establish an optimal solution for your brand, and move forward from there.
Upper Studio works with a range of businesses, from small startups to established organizations, across industries like food & beverage, health & wellness, software, and nonprofits. No matter the size or field, the goal is the same: building a brand that authentically represents you and connects with the people you're trying to reach. A deposit is required to start any project, and the remaining cost is due either throughout the project or upon approval of the completed work. You will receive an invoice before any payment is due. Payments can be made through PayPal, Venmo, ACH, or mailed check.
These big projects can feel new or overwhelming, so here's the process step-by-step:
Introductory Call
An initial conversation (and questionnaire, if applicable) to explore your business goals, vision, and project details.
Moodboard
Depending on the project, Jaclyn will create and present a curated moodboard to align our visual direction. This serves as a preview of the overall style and aesthetic, allowing us to confirm the look and feel before any designs are produced.
Design
With the direction finalized, Jaclyn gets to work bringing the vision to life. This is where all the design magic happens—sometimes with a mid-project check-in for larger projects. At this stage, you can simply review progress as it comes together.
Review & Revisions
Jaclyn will present the completed designs for your review, gather your feedback, and make any included revisions to ensure everything aligns with the vision.
Delivery & Launch
Once the final designs are approved, Jaclyn will deliver all project files or make your website live. Any additional or out-of-scope work can also be taken on at this stage.

Every package includes a set number of revision rounds, so there's plenty of room to refine the work together. If you find you need more beyond what's included, additional rounds can be added at an hourly rate. The goal is always to get it right—Jaclyn will make sure you're excited about the final result before calling anything finished.
Open communication throughout the process is what helps prevent this, which is why revisions are built into every package. If something isn't landing the way you hoped, please be honest about it! No hurt feelings here, Jaclyn wants you to feel confident and excited about your brand. Clear feedback during the review stage ensures the final result truly reflects your vision.
For all branding projects, you’ll receive an eps, png, and jpg of all logos and graphics. For print design, you’ll receive pdf, eps, and/or .ai working files. For websites, you'll be added to the site so you are a collaborator and have indefinite control over the site.
Once a project is paid in full, you own the final, delivered work—free to use it across your business however you'd like. Upper Studio retains the rights to any preliminary concepts, drafts, or directions that weren't chosen, as well as the right to showcase the final work in Upper Studio's own portfolio, website, social media, and other marketing. This is standard practice and will always be outlined clearly in your project agreement.
